John Thurso MP visits ATTG

John was interested to hear more about Community Powerdown and how the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund is supporting carbon-crunching projects in communities from the borders to the northern isles. Peter explained how important the Community Powerdown network has been in developing the group’s Home Energy project, which is getting into full swing this month.

There was much discussion about how to tackle climate change, peak oil and fuel poverty and how the government can provide help to individuals and communities. John also offered his support to the group’s projects.
