ATTG has been asking Alness residents for feedback on various projects and activities that would reduce our community's carbon emissions. We included feedback forms in the November issue of the ADT and in the Home Energy Check mail-shot and an online version was also accessible through the website. Over seventy forms were completed and we are delighted to present the results to you here in the form of a word cloud.
It is clear that energy efficiency is the most popular of our themes. Almost all respondents selected at least one of the energy efficiency projects/activities and the top three most popular in the survey were help reducing energy use, using heating systems effectively and monitoring energy consumption. Local food is also a popular theme and ATTG will be developing more food projects over the next year. Waste and recycling was also a relatively popular theme. Our survey indicated that sustainable transport is of a lower priority in Alness, although we did get a lot of ideas on how this problem can be tackled during our event in November. Thank you so much for your feedback. Please get in touch with ATTG if you would like more information on our community consultation - we have produced a complete report of the results. Climate Change and Peak Oil are difficult problems that can be tackled in various ways and ATTG recognise that different members of our community will be motivated by different ideas. If our results have inspired you in some way, then why don't you get involved with one of our projects. If you didn’t manage to make your voice heard this time around, you can still complete a survey online. Finally, a special thank you to the three people who ticked every single one of the thirty options!
