Wanting to know where to go to find more information on what motivates transition towns?
- transitiontowns.org - great place for information on transition movements and includes the transition primer, which is the best thing to read on how to get started
- transitionculture.org - a sister site of transitiontowns.org with more information on Rob Hopkins
- postcarbon.org - an action group for bringing people together to work out how to make a sustainable transition to a world without fossil fuels.
- www.theoildrum.com - a site for discussion about the future of energy.
- cluborlov.blogspot.com - a blog on the oncoming energy crisis.
- www.350.org - a campaign to keep atmospheric CO2 levels below 350ppm.

When John Thurso MP visited ATTG in February, he drew out the winner from the responses to our survey that was distributed in November. Congratulations to Liam Miller from Coulpark, who wins four low-energy lightbulbs, a standby saver and a power monkey – a portable solar charger for mobile phones and mp3 players. All of these energy-saving gadgets will reduce Liam’s annual electricity bill by as much as £40 and save the same amount of CO2 as would be emitted by a return car journey from Alness to Stranraer.
